Everybody knows Google indexes more web pages than any other search engine and delivers the most comprehensive results. They’re number one for a reason.
I believe Google is number one because their top priority in 2020 and beyond is to protect us. Google spares no expense improving its algorithms to identify quality websites. Google is all about the User’s Experience and will spend whatever it takes to deliver quality content.
Google prioritizes identifying quality websites because it is discouraging for people to search if they think they can get a virus. In the past, many bad websites figured out different ways to get ranked on Google. As a result, users would be intimidated doing a generic search and be fearful of what could go wrong.

Ironically enough one of the most targeted categories in the past was “computer repair questions”. The reason for using this category to attack people’s computers through a generic search is the majority of people have computer issues.
Another search category that these bad websites have attacked is “Recipes”, targeting the nicest and sweetest folks imaginable. Google recognized that these predatory websites is their greatest threat and decided to do something about it!

Google search algorithms have improved so dramatically it’s really hard to measure but I’m going to cover the most important improvements.
The very first thing that Google has addressed is security, so they have made the “HTTPS” protocol mandatory in 2020. The “HTTPS” protocol replaced “HTTP” which did not require an SSL Security Certificate and hence Google could not identify the publishers of this evil content.
If a website does not have an “HTTPS” protocol, they have no hope of getting ranked, unlike the past.
What does this mean for Google users, their experience is pleasing. A happy customer comes back for more it’s just that simple.
Another area that Google has concentrated on is “Content Relevant” articles and videos. This is the most important change for Google users because it makes it easier to find the content you’re looking for and it’s safe.
